Your top end will be reduced however your current draw will reduce significantly allow for longer run time.

Being the VP of Engineering at D&D, Eric has access to the Torque/Speed curves for their motors, so your cart will have a lower top speed.

Their website says the 170-006-0001 will propel a stock series cart to 21 MPH and the 170-002-0001 will do 16 MPH. Your setup runs at 34 MPH with a 170-006-0001, so (mathematically) the 170-002-0001 should push it at 16/21 of 34 MPH or about 26 MPH.

Personally, I suspect it might be a little faster than 26 MPH based on the stuff I posted earlier in this thread, but I might be wrong.
