Well my dad is stubborn so he's going to look at it tomorrow. I'm sure he'll buy it. The guy has reassured him that everything else works perfect except for the broken hub/axle. I talked to a local star car dealer and he said they either used cc or ezgo axles on them and never any off the wall axles. So parts are available. He also said that he can get any part I need in just a day or two. I'll keep you posted.
