96 TXT clicks but no go

The big wire from the controller to the bottom of the F&R selector was getting warm. It was loose, I tightened it ,& the cart moved back and forth. I parked it for the night without driving it, and the next day it will not move, only click . Any help appreciated

Check pack voltage at rest. Check pack voltage as you try to go. What are these readings?

Battery main + and-.
These battery posts are the only 2 that have a cable that does not connect to another battery. Both on the passenger side.

Scottyb, I had a break to run out to the shop. I'm getting 40.3 across the posts and It doesn't change when I press the throttle.

I checked the voltage again this AM 39.5....39.4 with pedal pressed. What next?

Does the solenoid click when you try to go? If yes

The loose cable may have produced enough heat to damage the F&R contact housing causing a loss of contact in the F&R. If that's the case, try tightening the center pivot bolt 1/2 turn. The F&R may need replacement.

I took the F&R apart and cleaned it .I saw no signs of burnt spots. Reassembled it, and still the same. ??
