Re: speed sensor or what
Is it possible he is buying eBay (low voltage / cheaperino) sensors and is burning them up?

Re: speed sensor or what
the controller is a stock curtis 1510-5201 and the sensors come from redhawk, the cart is a stocker with a rear seat, she has had this cart for a while, ran great now this

Re: speed sensor or what
Have you ever tried a new magnet. For my info. Does a speed sensor come with a new magnet.

Re: speed sensor or what
A welded solenoid contact would have the same symptom.
If the cart passes the speed sensor "push test", make sure the solenoid is OK. |

Re: speed sensor or what
Since You have already replaced the controller and assuming You have a magnet under the sensor, perhaps it is just a harness issue on the sensor wires.
If You disconnect the 3-pin plug from the speed sensor, with the Tow/Run switch on "Run", You should get 15v between the black and Red wires at the 3-pin connector. You should also get 5v between black and green wires. If You do, You can test the output of the sensor "Green" wire by lifting one wheel and turning it by hand. With the 3-pin plug connected and a wire piercing probe on the Green wire, the voltage will go from 0 to 5v - 24 times on a full wheel revolution. Last edited by Sergio; 07-26-2016 at 07:10 AM..
