Default My Club Car DS Upgrades and Updates

Thanks to many members of this forum, I did a refresh of my 2004 Club Car DS over the past few weeks. Here is what I did and what I used:
  1. I tore the cart apart and had the entire thing sprayed with Line X. I used the lighter Line X ultra on the body and metal roof/seat supports and I used the traditional bed liner stuff on the back platform ($525)
  2. I added a 1" block lift in the from from TahoeDawg and installed some extended rear shackles I bought from another BGW member (dlwilson). Both worked great and lifted my cart 1" in the front and just over 2" in the back ($60)
  3. I installed a 48>12 v reducer and fuse block from Scotty @ Carts Unlimited ($109)
  4. I installed new LED bulbs that I purchased from DDM tuning. These fit RIGHT INTO the OEM halogen housings. The lights were a direct fit replacement. The link is below ($55)
  5. I installed new diamond plated rocker panel covers and kickplate purchased from a guy on eBay who makes them in Missouri ($60)
  6. I installed new, longer shocks to accommodate the lift (Monroe 5751 shocks) - $26 each
  7. I installed wheel spacers (1" on the front and 1.5" on the rear) purchased from Summit Performance via amazon - $78
  8. I drained an re-filled the differential oil with Royal Purple SAE 30 synthetic
  9. I replaced all the madjax flip seat hardware with Grade 8 non-metric equivalents
  10. I installed a digital voltage meter that is switched off the key (Amazon, $11)

Here is what I started with over a year ago... standard DS with heavy duty springs:

Here is before I started my refresh:

Everything else is the "final" product (until I see something else one of you do that I can copy)

nnmsgst,
Looks good, that is quite a transformation.

I especially like the flip flops on the roof, are they glue on or bolt on, LOL?

A buddy left them over a few years ago. Little silicone and they've been up there ever since!

Looks good. I was wondering how those extended shackles worked out for you.

They worked great. I already had upgraded springs and with your shackles I probably got another 1.5-2" of lift. It was just what I wanted... But of course now I'm contemplating off road tires

Looks good on the lift. I have done the 1" front block and will be making extended shackles when I get the aluminum bar stock in. I will do 7" hole to hole and have new dual action rear springs. We will see what it looks like when loaded, batteries not in yet. Tires are 20x10x8 and were rubbing in back and front a little.

Thanks. I need something on the hood to break up all the blue. . I wish he hadn't sprayed line x over the club car logo as that would have been just fine.
