Default 2001 Club Car DS Identify

I have a friend at camp that has a club car ds 2001
I don't have the serial number by I have a pic of what I believe is the motor speed switch and was trying to identify what type it is for replacement

Any help would be great

That is a Regen1 or Regen2 speed sensor, I am not sure if they are still available.

Unless Your friend is trying to preserve the regenerative brake, just unplug the speed sensor and the cart will go a couple of more mph faster.

The cart will run faster without it.

The speed sensor failure causing "limp mode" did not start until the IQ system came out.

On those older carts the speed sensor was just used to prevent the cart from running too fast, although the motor is only capable of going a few more mph than the regulated speed.

It could be other issues as well, but unplugging the speed sensor is an easy first step to troubleshoot.

This is the V-glide, the pie shaped piece, basically it turns gas pedal movement in to electric current that tells the controller how fast to drive the motor.

In 2001 it could be an MCOR already.

A bad MCOR could also cause that hesitation, You can also quickly troubleshoot that one by turning the key Switch OFF and pumping the pedal about 50 times.

If the cart drives better after that, the MCOR is the culprit.
