2014 Club Cart Precedent 48 volt
I have a 2014 Club Cart Precedent 48 volt. The battery charger wasn't working. It would buzz and the meter would jump but not go above 0. I bought a portable battery charger and charged every battery 75%. The golf cart now runs fine after I charged each battery. I thought the charger wasn't working maybe because of the batteries being dead and the OBC/computer couldn't tell the charger to turn on. Even after charging the batteries with a portable charger, the golf charger is still not working. So......I manually reset the BOC and it is still not working. I know it isn't the charger itself because I borrowed the exact same kind of charger from someone and it works on their golf cart but it doesn't work on mine. It does the same thing...The charge light is on, I plug in the battery charger, the light goes off, the charger makes a quick clicking noise but the meter doesn't go above 0. Since both chargers did the same thing, and I know one of them works. it has to be an issue with the golf cart. Any suggestions?

Re: 2014 Club Cart Precedent 48 volt
I think all 2014 are equipped with the ERIC system so there really isn't an OBC. What color is the light on the charger? Does the dash light blink and reverse buzzer go off? Round blue light on the charger is AC power connected. If I remember, the green battery light turns on when it is done. Red triangle indicates a problem. If red, unplug everything and wait until it goes out. Power up the AC side of the charger and wait until blue light comes on to plug it into the cart.

If you are trying to charge your 2014 Precedent with a pre 2014 CC charger, it will not work.
You need the ERIC charger since your cart does not have an OBC! You can also use a DPI smart charger. Your cart is made to work with a "Smart Charger". |

Re: 2014 Club Cart Precedent 48 volt
The early production models of the year 2014 did not use the ERIC charger. They still had the OBC and used a regular charger controlled by the OBC. Check fuses on sense wire going from OBC to charger port. Or you may have a bad OBC.
