Ok. Read his other post. It is a pull behind travel trailer. He wants to pull a 7x12 trailer behind that for the golf cart.

The Op (Mr Kartcruiser) originally posed this question in a thread from 2009.

The 2009 thread is riddled with confusing information about this this topic.

It seems states have very differing laws concerning towing more than one "trailer."

Interesting. I would like to know more as well. I know UPS, FedEx, tow doubles throughout VA, but does that apply to RV's etc. as well?

I tow my cart on a trailer behind my 38' Pace Arrow to FL every year. I have a camera that I can see what's behind me. My bearings went out and the wheel was wobbling on the trailer. If that happened towing a trailer behind another trailer, It could be deadly. There is a reason double trailers are not permitted on some roads. Just my $.02

Understood. I'm good at backing trailers, but can you imagine having to back that thing?

Ummmmm. You would would have your own wagon circle. Haha! On a side note, most trailers are not designed for that kind of weight on the back end. Despite what you would bolt or weld to it. Trailers wag a lot. I hate driving beside the UPS/Fed EX doubles.

I have seen this type setup in VA. Were they passing through? IDK but I assume they were. One came by my house not long ago. Good size dually truck, 5th wheel RV about 30' or so long and small trailer and golf cart behind that. Smoothly made a turn and down the road it went.

I've seen this many times in Ohio, I also see them sway back and forth pretty good..

I am thinking about adding a sway bar to the Cart trailer like the one on my Camper/tow vehicle.

Any input or suggestions would be appreciated.
Does your Kurt camper bumper receiver attach to the frame of your Palomino camper? Most camper bumpers are made out of THIN 4" square metal. They are not designed to support weight. They are hollow and to be used to store your sewer hose. I know a lot of camper manufactures mount spare tires on the rear bumper but that weight is a lot less than a trailer with a golf cart on it.

They have huge road trains (as they are known) in the Australian outback. They have assembly areas outside city limits where they can hook up. However, I don't think any of our States let an average citizen hook up two trailers behind a vehicle.
