2006 Precedent pre-charge resistor - function?
What does the pre-charge resistor that sits between the solenoid posts do?

It keeps the controller energized so it won't have to repower each time you press the pedal.

PRE-CHARGE RESISTOR is a device that
slowly charges the capacitors within the electronic controller. Without this resistor, closing the contactor would generate large amounts of current and arc the contacts |

It could also be described as a soft start resistor. It would prevent full current to the motor at startup.
