Default EZGO TXT Rebuild - Am I missing something?

EZGO TXT Rebuild -

It's been a good 10 years but we need a bit more pep in the gold cart:

What we have done:
- ordered motor/speed controller/cable upgrade from ScottyB
- replacing the old fuse box with a new one and a proper voltage reducer.
- repainting the frame/chassis to remove any rust.
- repainting the body, alabama football theme cart, roll tide..
- checking all the wiring and replacing anything bad.
- LED light upgrade
- Radio and Speakers.
- redoing the seats.

Is there anything missing I should be doing while the cart is in 100 pieces?

Go to 48v if you want more "pep". Best thing I ever did to the old TXT. ( if you want to keep ahead of the Auburn carts)

Waiting on Lithium ION a bit before I make that jump. We are always ahead of the Auburn carts! :)

Yes, I'm also hoping lithium becomes economically feasible before my present batteries pass on.

Sounds like you've thought this through. Just a comment on the radio. Do you mean an actual old school radio? They can be problematic in a electric (DC motored) cart. Interference from the speed controller. Suggest maybe an amplified sound system with bluetooth. Music/radio stations from phone. Or no sound system at all on the cart. Just phone and portable bluetooth speaker. Their are some good ones out there.

Also key switch options. Unique keys like barrel keys or similar. Might not be a concern for you.

I would replace all of the bushings while it’s apart.

I don't think I saw anything about the forward and reverse switch, but if it's a series cart I would go with Scotty's reversing contactor, or at least a heavy duty one.

Car Radio - interesting did some reading does the Alltrax controller work the same I would imaging mounting it in some form of box with foil would block a lot of the noise generation.
