2003 Carry all Turf 2 wiring
Hey guys
Just a quick question about the 12 V wiring on this buggy This is a new purchase to me, and the previous owner installed a separate 12 V battery for some new headlights he put on it I’d like to restore it to its original wiring since I’m going to be adding an electric dump lift cylinder My question is where exactly is the voltage reducer? I’ve looked under the passenger side frame rail and found the MCOR, and found the following schematic, but it just shows a voltage limiter. As you can see in the diagram there is no designation or part number for this part. I’m curious if it is part of a harness assembly or where it is even mounted, or supposed to be mounted.. That is your 16v to 12v reducer. It comes off 2 of your 8v batteries and is triggered by the Neg side. If it is not inside the driver side frame rail then it has been removed. It is about 10"x3' or so with a black heavy wire running to the #5 (or #2 according to how you count your pack) Neg post.

Re: 2003 Carry all Turf 2 wiring
Thanks very much for that info!
Looks like it has been removed but I’ll double check when I get it lifted up this evening If it’s not present or not working I’ll need to replace that but I still am not sure about what part number I need to reference Any thoughts on that diagram and the lack of designation for this part? Thanks again Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Re: 2003 Carry all Turf 2 wiring
The OEM 16v to 12v converter/reducer/limiter is not that great. It only pulls off 2 batteries and causes a burden on those 2 over the life of their cycle, which of course will cause premature failure of those 2 first. I far prefer a 48v to 12v converter so I have the entire pack supporting the load.
Look at these https://www.revolutiongolfcars.com/voltage-reducers and give David a call if you want and OEM connection or scottyb has aftermarket kits here http://www.cartsunlimited.net/12v-reducers.html |
