Re: Slow cart
OK. Now I understand. I didn't get the bypass was the Molex. My bad.
So, I'd install the FNR and let us know if the solenoid clicks. If not, check each switch in the activation circuit which includes reed switch, key switch, FNR microswitch and throttle microswitch. Once the solenoid clicks, it should run. Then check this: http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...e-testing.html |

Re: Slow cart
The reed switch is bypassed already. Now on the f/r switch the reverse switch is broken off and none of the wires are hooked up to it. I figured since it went forward and reverse it didn’t need that switch.

Re: Slow cart
I’m wondering now if that’s reason it’s only running half speed.

Re: Slow cart
Pack positive goes to the FNR reverse microswitch, which goes to the reverse beeper and controller pin 4. I use the attached. Yours may not be labelled pin 4, but should not have pack positive.

Re: Slow cart
Sounds like the reverse microswitch has failed "closed". Do you have pack positive on controller pin 4 - orange wire? If so, fix microswitch or remove orange wire for now. Pack positive on pin 4 tells the controller to go half speed.
If you follow the wiring diagram, it's obvious that the FNR microswitch does both pack positive to controller pin 4, and the beeper. |

Re: Slow cart
To summarize:
Did you confirm no voltage is on controller pin 4? Did you reinstall the FNR? Does it go equally slow forward and backward? Did you take the measurements here? http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...e-testing.html Did you get correct readings? |
