Angry No click from my TXT solenoid

I installed an Alltrax XCT 400/400 AMP Solenoid combination in my EZGO TXT from Scotty's. Fresh 48 volt battery pack, ignition switch, F/R switch and wiring/cabling.

When I turn the key to "on" there is no click from the solenoid. Have checked voltage into the big bolts on it and it is at 48Volts. Have checked continuity across the bolts and it is good. Tried checking small bolts for voltage but not getting anything there that I can find.

Checked ignition switch and it is 48 volts going in and the switch on the going-out side seems to be fine.

Cart was a 36 volt before.

I am lost. Can someone offer any guidance?

Thanks in advance.

AJ

I’m assuming you know the solenoid shouldn’t click until the pedal is pushed...

You should have 36 V on across the small posts of the solenoid when the pedal is pressed. Do you?

Checking that but I am going to say "no" at this point.

(FYI---battery pack is 48 volt now so I am guessing I am looking for 4

Thanks,

Yes, 48 volts between the 2 small solenoid posts when the key is on, F&R in gear, and pedal depressed.
And at that time the XCT controller LED should give a blink code indicating the throttle type programmed.
I suspect there simply is no power to the system yet.... can you post a pic of the solenoid wiring?

Hi Scotty: I'll post a pic a bit later today for sure.

I agree----no power getting to the solenoid yet. I am getting power into the ignition switch, and something out the other side. Not sure where it is getting lost. F/R Switch, accelerator module.... confusing stuff.

Thanks,

AJ

Do you get this blink code? Do you get another blink code as well? Do you have a wiring diagram?

Hi Scotty: This is my 2002 model TXT that was a 36 volt with the SEPEX PDS drive system.

Changed out all the stuff with a package I got from you. The XCT400 controller/200 solenoid/ 2g cable set/ and FSIP B3 high speed motor.

Have made all the controller connections with the exception---I just noticed---being the one that runs to the charger receptacle. The receptacle isn't mounted yet. Far as I know I did get all the controller connections to the right spade connectors. And the battery meter does activate and shows 48 volts when I turn on the key switch. As well as the 48 volt-to-12 volt converter that is hooked in.
