Re: lithium Charging Question
Quote:
I'm pretty detail oriented but all it takes is one slip up. I am using 14 cells and my stock charger shut off and I was at 4.3vpc (60.2v). Buy a charger that cuts off your pack at 4.1vpc. I bought a meanwell charger after that for less than $100. It has 4 settings on it and I've set it to the lowest V setting (for Gel batteries) and it reliably cuts off at 56.6v without me watching anything. I still have my original PowerWise charger but it's hidden so the kids don't grab it and use it thinking they are helping. The powerwise puts out a lot more amperage so I have it in case I need a quick top up for the upcomming Christmas Parade. But the powerwise is dangerous on lithium. |
