Default club car precedent moves as soon as you turn on key switch

EDIT.
Problem solved but have a read anyway.

Precedent ERIC 2015 / 2017 model. can confirm when it arrives but pretty sure the drive systems are identical.

Ok, I have not seen the cart yet, but i have been informed that it moves forward or backward as soon as you turn on the key switch and put it in forward or reverse. I am hoping for a simple fix such as a stuck pedal, but i thought these carts would fail a start up test on the controller. If anyone has any idea what to look for when it arrives at my workshop i would appreciate it. I have an OEM programmer to check the fault logs, but would like to be fore armed before it arrives.

Maybe a stuck solenoid? but surely it would not move until the pedal is pressed, so maybe a faulty MCOR? am i on the right track?

EDIT.

Problem solved. NO need to plug in the programmer, the problem was obvious when i looked at it. The brake pedal would not lock down for park and the go pedal would not fully return and when i plugged in the programmer to check for logged faults anyway, i found the throttle to be at 21% when up. So airline out, blow out the pedal box and all worked as it should. The crud stuck around the pedal was like set concrete, so decided to remove the pedal box and give it a thorough cleaning and a small amount of silicon lubricant to keep things moving smooth.

Job well done, simple fix and a happy pro shop manager.

Just thought i would update for others to see how sometimes what seems a major issue over the phone, can just be down to poor simple maintenance.

You better turn the HPD safety circuit on before one of your gophers gets hurt.

*** gophers need hurting real bad, especially if they've gone to joyriding. But you don't want the golfers getting injured.

Scotty, have you been reading my threads? We have more trouble with gophers disabling speed sensors and putting carts into tow, just so they can freewheel down hills and use trees for brakes.

If your asking about HPD (High Pedal Disable). With it enabled the cart is disabled if the controller detects any throttle % when the key is turned on. If your asking about gophers then you obviously never seen "Caddyshack"

We have that problem with acorns and gravel. People only notice when the parking brake won’t set and they can’t figure out why.

No gophers were harmed... but sometimes you sure want to...
