Default Changing parameters on stock rxv controller

I’ve got a 2016 rxv with a 6” lift and 23” tires that I use for hunting. My question is are there any changes I can make to the stock Curtis controller to help with hill climbing and torque/acceleration from a stop. If so witch programmer would I need.

The stock controller is quite capable but you need a developer level programmer to get to the parameters you need to change. Where are you located?

It’s not something you can do yourself... Let’s wait until Bob Boyce sees this thread. He can program that thing into a beast!

Sorry, a stock controller cannot be performance programmed for an RXV with tires larger than 20.5". No lift required for those. You will need to upgrade to a 350 Amp controller if you want a performance tune with 23" tires.

Is there anything I can do short of buy a new controller that might help at all?

Changing to 20.5" tires, changing the gears to torque gears, or upgrading the controller.
Least expense is changing tires. The RXV does not need larger tires to go fast, reprogramming alone can give you 26 to 27 MPH with stock tires. You can get quite satisfactory off-road performance with 20.5" tires with the tread of your choosing.

I dont really want to change tire size need all the ground clearance I can get. Not looking to go any faster or spin the tires just want to be able to climb the occasional hill or go through a mud hole without stalling and having to get a running start. If I do have to change controllers what your opinion on the ezgo 350 amp vs Navitas 600 amp. Thanks
