Default Charging status meter And front end alignment

Just installed a digital readout 48volt charge status meter on my 2003 club car ds. Went directly to battery positive and negative at battery got 50.1 volts at meter got 50.1 volts drove it 6.3 miles and it now reads 50.0 volts is this correct or wrong. Batterys are 3mo old and charge them after 2 trips on it average about 2.5-3 miles per trip its all on paved roads and no hills. Cart will do 29 mph easy now with 20inch tires and lift kit just installed. Has a blue motor other than that dont know bought it like that. On another question since put 3inch jakes lift kit on both front tires are tilted out by 1inch at top and not in same direction. In a V shape not //or \\.

The meter sounds accurate, almost too much. Usually they are .25 - .50 volts off from the metered pack, but that sounds good. Your pack, fully charged, should yield 50.93v or higher....

Definitely charge after each use and never let it sit after a use and not charge it.... Sulfation occurs very quickly....

And your Camber is off on your front end, I do not use Jakes anymore and do not recall where the adjustment is at, but it does have one. You need to bring it back from Positive over to neutral or just slightly Positive. It will be an adjustment on each side at the bottom to loosen and move over a little in each direction (Positive and Negative)

Ok thanks on meter info. On jakes lift its a spindle lift and the only way to adjust is by center of spring. So Im thinking the spring is so weak its flattening out to cause top of wheels to lean out maybe. When Im in cart it leans pretty bad Im 300lbs so thinking its weak springs thats my next change Im guessing.

This is just the nature of a spindle lift. You can change the spring and it may make it better but it's not going to be perfect. There's really nothing you can do to get the alignment perfect with a spindle lift.

On that note and the degree you are Positive on the camber, you may want to a look into a Double A-Arm lift such as Allsports. The tires will quickly eat you up as will the handling in regards to the steering....

I agree Nole, Lift kits can also be broken up and ordered without the "rear" lift kit for a lesser price than the full lift kit price, FYI.

A double A-Arm lift kit will give you infinite adjustability in the camber. You can fine tune it much more precisely than ever imaginable with a spindle lift.
