Default Best way to deal with slow leak in tire

One of my tires (aftermarket) has a slow leak. I've tightened the valve stem core and looked for nails/screws in the tire and found nothing. The place I bought the car from can't do anything with tires. Can I just put some slime in the tire? Or should I find somewhere that does golf car tires?

Try pumping it up and laying it on its side. Pour water around the bead and see if there are any bubbles. Do it on both sides. This is the easiest to fix. Just use a rubber mallet and hit the tire, and the pressure will expel any dirt that may be in the bead.

Also try pouring water in the valve stem. Just 'cause it's tight don't mean it's not leaking.

when doing the above ^ .....mix some dish soap in the water. for if the leak is that tiny it will be hard to see the bubbles in the water, but if you have some soap in solution, it will be easier to see soap bubbles.

Remove the tire from the cart,
Fill the tire to max inflation,
soapy water all over the place (including the valve stem),

Depending on where the hole is will depict how you fix the leak.

thorn or screw between the treads could be as simple as add slime, or a standard plug (you can buy a plug kit practically anywhere for about $5).

If it's in the bead, you will want to deflate the tire, clean out the bead and re-inflate.

If it's your valve stem, then you will want to get it replaced.

I've had a few tires over the years leaking around the bead and slime always fixed them. It's messy though if you ever go to change the tire, but you won't need to change it till it's worn out.

If it's leaking at the bead, I always break the bead loose, clean, and use bead sealer.

If it still leaks down you might just have a bad wheel, check for cracks or gouges in the bead area.

One last thing, get a soap stone/ yellow paint pen, sharpy or something to mark where you find the hole.

There is always the "Mexico way", put latex paint inside the tire.

Good idea. When I worked at a gas station in high school, we had a semicircular "tub" where we dunked tires with faster leaks. We would jam a toothpick where the leak was, if it was a nail or screw.
