Trailer-able storage covers
Does anyone trailer their cart with a cover on it? I Need to haul my cart between home, camp, and the shooting range at the club. However with the weather we've been getting here in Western NY, the roads are a salty mess. I have a heavy cover that I may be able to Bungee it down good enough to keep it from shredding at highway speed, but I would hate to ruin it. Any ideas?

Re: Trailer-able storage covers
Not likely to find anything. Even if it is tough enough to withstand the wind the buffeting will cause the cover to vibrate against the cart. Causing some level of scuffing to the various finishes. It is a predicament that has few if any solutions.

That's pretty much what I figured. Looks like wait for dry roads and a good washing. Thanks for the reply.

Use a cargo trailer. Plenty of room for a tool chest, lawn chairs and more.

Re: Trailer-able storage covers
Cargo trailer.
FWIW, I wouldn't do it with a cover. Years ago, one spring break, a bunch of us went on a road trip and had a van - real, not mini - with a big luggage rack. We had a bunch of back packs Budgied on top. Though they were weather resistant, someone thought we should cover them with a tarp. Even though it was securely tied down, it somehow inflated and managed to tear to shreds. This was a "real" tarp someone had, the kind you used to see on flat bed tractor-trailers, so it was pretty HD. Destroyed at highway speeds. |

Been there done that. Open trailer will destroy tarbs at hi way speeds.
I now use my inclosed 10’ trailer or if towing camper with cart in pickup bed remove windshield from cart. Hard top survives fine at hi way speeds with no windshield. |

Re: Trailer-able storage covers
I just found a couple of extended height trailer manufacturers. I emailed a few dealers to see if they can accommodate a lifted 76” height cart. Seems some go as high as 78”.

Make sure the door opening itself is tall enough.
