Trailer Towing EZGO RXV
I use my cart for sporting clays and frequently travel on an Interstate Highway. So far I have not removed the top but I know EZGO recommends removal of the top when traveling at high speeds and I frequently exceed 70mph. Removal is a pain but replacing the top is not something I want to do either. Has anyone found a way to reinforce the top of a RXV so that removal is not necessary? I am thinking of adding a steel bar to the top of the top above each pillar and through bolting to the supports. This should help prevent high winds from pulling the bolt heads through the top. Does anyone have any experience reinforcing tops for high speed travel?

Re: Trailer Towing EZGO RXV
I have never had a problem with the roofs while towing RXV's. I tow mine right at 180 miles one way and never a problem. Right down the interstate going 75 mph.

Re: Trailer Towing EZGO RXV
I tow my txt with extended top( due to back seat) in pick up bed at highway speeds with no problem. Canopy definetlly sits in air stream above truck cab. Also towed it on trailer with no problems. FWIW😊

I’ve had no problem towing mine. I also have a longer, RHOX, top and a back seat.

Re: Trailer Towing EZGO RXV
Any problems with the windshield coming off? I'm taking mine to Jekyll Island in July. It's about 2 1/2 hours and I won't be traveling over 60 MPH since I'll be towing with the Motorhome. I think I might remove it since it's so easy to take off.

Re: Trailer Towing EZGO RXV
All kinds of weird turbulence behind an RV, but it depends on where it rides - how far back and how high - and the size and shape of the RV.
Not a recommendation, just an observation. |

Re: Trailer Towing EZGO RXV
Definitely weird turbulence behind a motorhome. Not sure it's enough to dislodge the windshield. It's so easy to take off I'll just remove it for the trip. I'd be a little upset to get there and be missing a windshield.
