Default Won't go in reverse

My 2002 48v cart will go forward, but not reverse

Welcome. A little background will help. Are you the original owner? Did some upgrade or modification cause the problem? Did it used to work when you got it? What is stock and what is after market - make and model helps. Drive type.

Definitely need some more information. But, the Forward/Reverse switch is a good place to start. Check all the cable connections and look for signs of heat. These switch contactors can get really hot and will sometimes cause the plastic base to deform.

2002 + 48 volt = upgrade. Could be series as you described, but also could be SepEx. He only has one post, so may not know the difference between a low amperage switch with wires, and an FNR with cables.
