Default Re: 2003 Club Car DS IQ 48v Charging

Thanks for all the tips and ideas!

At this point the charger is not doing anything at all, so I think it's a bad charger? I tried the jumper wire from fuse to negative terminal just for fun, and nothing happened.

I'm thinking about the "Lester Summit Series II Battery Charger 650W 36/48V, 5/16-in Ring Terminals with QD Lockout, 3 Ft." and mounting it on the cart.

It seems some folks on this forum recommend this one, anything else I should look at?

Just note that those Power Drive chargers are "dumb" chargers in that they only turn on and off when the OBC (on board computer) in the cart tells them to. Hence, if a charger isn't clicking on then there is a good chance that the charger is fine and the OBC is bad.

Update: It ended up being the charger that was bad, I got a used PowerDrive2 charger and I'm back in business.

However, I'm still considering a new "smart" charger and bypassing the OBC.
