Default Multi part question about PDS cart

Several years ago I posted a thread about jumpy throttle in PDS cart with a new alltrax controller. I learned to live with lightswitch (on/off) style throttle. The alltrax let the magic smoke out, so I bought the newer xct400 alltrax and low and behold the same jumpy throttle. I replaced the its, the magnet, the sensor, the micro switch and obviously it was a brand new controller...that leaves the common denominator as the motor which I bought used from a cart dealer several years ago after my teenagers let the magic smoke out of the stock motor.

I have the jerkiness somewhat manageable now with a custom throttle curve but still nowhere near the multitudes of stock carts I’ve rode.

I switched over to 42v last year and I’m wondering if I can get an aftermarket motor that will work on 42v for a while and work with 48 when I get ready in the next couple of years?

Question 2 ....today while trying to refine my curve for smoother operation I noticed that the regen is kicking in and sometimes going uphill or on flat ground. Anyone had any advice or trouble shooting for that?

The last 8 years with this cart make me feel like I bought a possessed unit...I bought all stock and did all the work myself down to the custom paint but I’ve threw enough money at this thing to have a fleet.

Thanks in advance.

1. A motor that is rated at 36V will run at 42V now and will run at 48V later. However a motor rated at 48V won't run very well at 42V and it'll be a dog at 36V. Lots of aftermarket motors to chose from.

2. Record a data log that includes segments where the Regen is kicking in when it shouldn't be and post it here as an attachment. (BGW doesn't accept the .csv file format, but if you zip it, the .zip file can be attached)

Use the continuous sampling rate, the 1sec and 3sec rates are not high enough for meaningful analysis. (Attchment-1)

-----------
I toned down a hypersensitive throttle so I could start my cart on grass without spinning tires, by altering the throttle linearization curve and adding some dead space at top of pedal travel. (Attachment-2)

Also, what RPM is the speed limit set to?

I’ll get you a log file later today, the speed limiter is set at 6000 I think.

I probably should also add that other than the jumpy throttle it’s been performing fine. In fact was at ocean lakes campground at myrtle beach for 10 days just a couple weeks ago and performed flawlessly. The regen issue showed up after returning home.

A perfectly logical conclusion.
