Permatex question
I'm changing the rxv rear differential fluid. And I'm using gear oil, so I got permeated gear oil for the gasket.
My question is how long do you let the permatex dry/cure/morph in a gasket before you add the fluid back in? Direction say 24 hours. Also I plan to use vent hole for final ounces. |

Re: Permatex question
I normally wait overnight myself. Next day I jack up the driver side take the wheel off and remove the axle. I put in 25 ounces of gear oil and 2 ounces of K & W Chemical Trans-X® Posi Trac® Limited Slip Gear Oil Additive down the axle tube. Works for me...
