Default Ds controller

My 1999 ds (36 volt) needs a speed controller, I have a limited budget so I was hoping you folks could point me in the right direction for a cheap (read, inexpensive) speed controller for this cart. Thanks in advance.

What kind of controller do you have now? Keep in mind that 36v carts don't have controllers unless modified. If you need to modify it cheap goes out the window.

Walt, CC did make a limited number of years with speed controllers on 36v DS carts. You just probably never ran across them yet. I believe it was like 2 - 4 years.

1993 and 1994. A 1999 was a toaster setup. No controller.

Yeah this comes up from time to time. I have had a couple 1992's with controllers. IDK, everything looked factory to me. But then again I have had all sorts of strange stuff. But, all the 99 thirty six volts I have had, had a v Glide.

I'd like to see some photos of this thing.

1992 maybe offered a handful of prototype units prior to release in 1993. Its common. As I’ve seen a handful of 2003 Precedents as well, even though they weren’t released until 2004.

And I had a 92 DS with a controller just recently. 36V series. Must be right after they changed the steering wheel.

I've also got a 92 36 volt controller DS, was told it's a rare one. Moon's had two if I remember correctly.
