Default 04 DS 48v charging question, and possible MCOR problem?

I just bought my first electric cart, and am completely green on them.

The cart is a 2004 club car DS 48v
The batteries were completely dead but after reading several posts I was able to get the power up enough to start the charger, once plugged in the charger paused for about 4 seconds then Came on, ran for a few seconds, then off and back on like I’ve read they are supposed to do, once started back up, the amps were at about 5 on the meter, left it plugged in all night and found it this morning pegged out at 15amps and I unplugged it thinking something was wrong. After getting home today 7 hours later, I checked total voltage and it was at 55.2volts. (I tried to drive it and found issue #2 mentioned below) after testing batteries and doing some other things I plugged it back in and after it’s start stop start cycle it went to 15 amps and I kept checking the voltage in the batteries and it climbed up to 70volts within 30 minuets and once it got that high I unplugged it again.
Is this normal or do I have some type of issues?

Problem #2 before I hooked the charger back up I tried to drive it and it wouldn’t move when I pressed to go pedal, I hit it a few times then it shot forward a few feet and stopped by itself, put it in reverse and hit the pedal several times then it took off about 10 feet and stopped again and hasn’t moved since. Is this the MCOR problem I see several people talking about or something else?

Any and all help is much appreciated.

If you don't have a lose wire I would say yes the MCOR is the problem.

Mr. Z71Sierra (I have one too), with a user name like that I'd be honored to help you. Please feel free to give me a call and we'll troubleshoot this thing on the phone. It will be a much faster and easier process than emailing back and forth for a few days. 706-431-3917.

If you need a MCOR get the best & go with one of these vendors, like David from Revolution. the stuff on the internet may look the same and are cheaper, but they are junk.
