Onward parking brake slipping/ horn stopped working
I have an 18 month old onward that when using the parking brake, allows the cart to slowly roll when on even slight inclines. The brakes seem fine otherwise. Is it simply a brake cable adjustment or do I have to mess around with the actual parking brake gears? Also, yesterday I noticed the horn stopped working.
I appreciate any assistance. |

Under the mat there is a plastic cover. You can adjust it there.

Re: Onward parking brake slipping/ horn stopped working
The Onward is noting more than a Precedent in a pretty prom dress. fancy on the outside, the same on the inside. there is brake tension rod directly under the driver floor mat. Lots of instruction out on the web for that. The horn may take a little troubleshooting to figure out, verify power at the horn, verify its plug in. test the button I doubt that there is a separate fuse but you never really know. Most turn signals has the horn button on the end of the rod & will fail, replaced a few on other carts.
enjoy your nice ride! |

Re: Onward parking brake slipping/ horn stopped working
For the horn check the connector as mentioned. Also check where the wires go into the horn. It’s not the most robust design and I did see one where driving the cart and bouncing around caused the connection on the horn to break and short out. If you wiggled the wire you could get the horn to work again. Good thing is the horn is a 5 minute replacement job including opening the barely pop.
