hooking up accessories into key
I’m new to these carts. I have an 83 DS 36v. I am trying to hook up LED battery gage to turn on with the key. It doesn’t seem to activate when the key is on. Any suggestions?

Yes. It will complete the initial power on then goes dark. When the C post is hooked up, no display. The back of the key has two posts, one has a green wire and one has a red wire.

Don't know about yours, but some of those carts had a negative key switch.

Look in the Stickys 81-85 the key is just a negative switch to the MS then solenoids.
Should still work just remember key is negative side. |

So what you are saying is I should hook up positive and run a jumper from positive to the “c” terminal and the. Run my negative to the key?
