2011 Precedent will not charge, solenoid will not click, will not move
I was given a 2011 Club Car Precedent which the previous owner stated he accidentally shorted the wires out on the motor. Said after he did that the cart would not do anything. Cart will not charge, no click from the solenoid, no reverse buzzer, headlights don't work, in dash volt meter won't work. Basically, just a dead cart. Batteries are 2017 trojans, and the pack has a voltage reading of ~38V on my multi-meter. I have looked over the cart and ensured all of the wires and connections are in good condition, everything looks good there. I'm sure that either the speed controller, OBC, and or the solenoid are fried, but don't want to spend a $1000 just changing out components and keeping my fingers crossed. Any help in pointing what to test and how is greatly appreciated.
Will also add that currently I have the battery pack disconnected from the cart, I put the run / tow switch on tow and connect the batteries back to the cart, switch to run and place a volt meter across the pack and notice the voltage begins to drop immediately, ~38V down to ~29V in a matter of minutes. |
