Thanks for reporting back!

And make sure you take a big hammer to that old solenoid so it won't live to cause headaches again!

Mooncarter and R&T, thanks again for the help. The new solenoid worked....... unfortunately for about an hour of drive time. A few days after it was fixed, I was driving up a hill and the cart stops like something disconnected. I towed it back home, charged it up, checked all connections and couldn't find anything. New solenoid clicks and key switch works. 50.4v on the pack. I couldn't hear the clicking of the micro switch so I replaced it along with the exposed wire I found in the vglide I found with the original problem last week. Where should I start looking next?

Thanks,

Clint

Couple things. Are you saying the solenoid is clicking when you turn the key on?

What solenoid are you using?

Redhawk SOL-1035.

Solenoid clicks only with key on and f/r in forward or reverse and Go pedal pressed.

Thanks,

Clint

Check and make sure the solenoid is releasing like it should. If so, I would try another solenoid.

I can't think of anything else right now.

You said you got about 49.4v on both sides of F/R when in F or R. Was this with or without the pedal being depressed?
You said the F/R was replaced about a year ago. Was the replacement a OEM part?

I would check the throttle signal next time you have an issue, You may have an issue with the VGlide or the wiring to the Reverse reduced speed switch.

Next time the cart does not work, remove the two wires from the The Controller #2 (Green Wire) and #3 (Yellow wire) terminals and measure the resistance you get from pedal UP to pedal Down.

You have a Series cart like the diagram below correct?

Thank you all for the replies. Sorry for the delay in responding, work has finally picked back up since March and with a family too, fixing the cart went on the back burner. I am going to work on it over the weekend.

CCNorth- without the pedal being depressed but, just checked it again and I am not getting pack voltage there, more below. I don't remember if it was an OEM part but the micro switches came on the switch and they have CC tags, so assume it is OEM.

Sergio- correct, I have series cart like the diagram. Resistance pedal up was 5.76 and down, 0.3.

Pack- 50.3v

CCNorth-

In F- orange wire 12.4v up, 0v down. Blue wire 12.53v up, 0v down.
In R- orange wire 12.6v up, -.184v down. Blue wire 12.6v up, -.184v down.

Thank you again for all the help.

Regards,

Clint
