Default Navitas 440 Installed & Cart Feels the Same

I have a 2001 Club Car DS 48 Volt and I recently upgraded the controller to a Navitas 440 Amp. I was expecting to see a noticeably difference in the performance but there's hardly a difference at all... The controller status light is on green and it looks like everything is working as it should on the App. Has anyone had this issue? Is there something you can recommend me looking into? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! This is my first post on this site so I hope I've done it correctly. lol

I had a 2002 DS cart and with a 550
Amp controller, it would only do 14mph.

Had to upgrade the motor in order to increase speed to 21-22mph.

Did you ever upgrade your solenoid to a heavy duty high amp solenoid? I was thinking about trying that first and see how it goes... But I'm not exactly sure if that's going to help it or not.

You need the upgraded solenoid and wires if you upgrade the motor.

Solenoid is not going to add any speed though.

Call Navitas. You likely have one of the settings wrong. Just guessing it is probably the max RPM setting.

Might be a dumb question but is it a sepex or series cart?

Series. After talking to Navitas, I’m installing a new motor tomorrow. I hope I can finally
cruise faster than 13 mph.

Yes, series cart will not get much more than stock with Navitas controller, though will have more torque and will hold that top speed on steeper inclines.

Series motor speed is determined by voltage. The Navitas controller supplies no more voltage than stock.
