Default Cart won't drive

I have a 92ish club car with the flat head motor, the motor has just been rebuilt, I put a new start and voltage reg on it. The cart was running fine one night and I was in the woods with a few other carts and the cart stopped running, felt like it was out of gas. I check the fuel and it had enough. the cart will only run just a little bit more rpm than the starter spins it but not enough to make the clutch engage, I sprayed carb cleaner in the carb and it started to work for about 10 minutes then died again. I checked the vacum lines and everything is hooked up. I cleaned the fuel pump and filter, cleaned out the carb completly as well. I went to try the cart again and now the solenoid is acting up, when I hit the gas it just clickes steady like it would if I had low voltage. I'm going to put a new solenoid in and see if that takes care of the problem. As far as the fuel goes what do you guys think? Thanks

At first it sounded like a carb problem..... Have you disassembled the carb and cleaned it?

yes I've cleaned the carb and all. I think maybe the fuel could be bad?

If the fuel was working fine, the cart was running fine and it died, it's probably not bad fuel. It should have never started to begin with. You could change it easy enough and eliminate a possible problem.
You said you cleaned the fuel filter? I recommend you replace that first. Then check the spark plugs. If they are wet it's probably not lack of fuel. Test the spark while you have the plugs out. If your plugs dry and fire, it's most likely fuel. I would test the fuel pump next. Disconnect the line to carb and turn it over. It should sqirt out gas in pulses. If it doesn't you have bad vacuum line or fuel pump. If all of these things test good and you have spark, you'll need to test your compression. If it's good...Take apart the carb and clean it again.
Be careful when testing spark around fuel. Dry the spark plugs first and ground away from the plug hole. Good luck. let us know the results

I had the same problem with my 92. THe draw tube in the tank was full of varnish from bad gas. Took the tank cap off and then pulled the fuel line off the fuel pump. Used a little compressed air and blew it clean. Works great now. Remember not to use very much pressure.
