Default Plastic gear on cam... rivets loose?

Hi all,
My kf82 is apart. Should the rivets that hold the plastic gear to the cam be slightly loose? They are all the same... and most importantly, they are all there. What do you think?

They should not be loose at all. I have seen these come apart at speed and it really makes a mess!. At one time you could get a replacement with a steel gear and NO RIVETS!
Maybe someone else knows of this???

I just rebuilt my KF82 a couple of months ago. I was told that when rebuilding the motor to be sure and drill the rivets out and replace them with bolts and nylon lock nuts. I live just down the street from J&M golfcarts in Augusta,GA. I am friends with one of the owners who gave me this information. They rebuild engines and ship them all over the country. Hope this helps.
