Re: solenoid is hot for no reason, just sitting
Going to have to put some "thought" into this one. What year / model cart is this?

Re: solenoid is hot for no reason, just sitting
ok new problem i think, just went and checked the cart and the wire from the charger that you plug in was extremly hot, but the charger showed that it was giving a charge so for the heck of it i took it for a spin, ran good on level ground, but on an incline it really lost energy, granted it was not on charge long. came back pulled the seat off and the solenoid was fine, maybe i had wires touching before but i didn't see any, but the f/r switch was hot now. it is the origional f/r switch, is it bad or does it need to be upgraded, it's a 1988 ezgo with a lift and bigger tires, thanks for all your help!!!!! this cart is kicking my but, it ran fine befor i upgraded the wires, but i wanted it to run better.

Re: solenoid is hot for no reason, just sitting
What "wires" did you add? Battery set only? A COMPLETE conversion kit, meaning EVERY wire under the seat? Where did you order it from? F/R's do go bad and connectors can get loose.

Re: solenoid is hot for no reason, just sitting
well, i would take off all the wires you changed and buy some flux and some silver solder, do you have a propane torch? and solder up the eyelets real good. thats alot of juice trying to go through the crimped connection. let us know if that helps out any also, did you just change the battery jumpers or did you change the motor cables too?
