Default More Stereo Help Please

OK,

I tried to wire in the new stereo and it comes on for about 2 sec and then shuts right off. I have attached the Positive to the first positive in my battery series and the negative in the second negative. I am getting around 13A from this array. The stereo does have a switchabe lead. Should this be set to my turn switch? And if so should it be attached to the second prong (middle?)

Any help is appreciated.

The yellow wire should go direct to the battery. It keeps the memory and the clock. The red wire should be switched and then go to the battery. You can connect both the red and yellow to the same lug.

So do I just wire it inline with the yellow wire and make sure to turn it off? Will it run the batteries down being in constant off mode with the clock on? I don't think that it could sap too many volts correct? Or should I wire it to the lights? Then I would have to have the lights on at all times I was listening to the stereo.

I hope you get that settled, but this type problem is the main reason I went on, bit the bullet and bought the Marine/RV battery to run all of the 12v stuff from. Good luck with it.
