Controller problems
I changed out my stock 275 amp controller Curtis model 1204 009, and replaced it with a 450 amp curtis 1204 5404. They look identical but when i hooked it up full pedal makes it go slow and when part pedal hauls butt. Is there any way to fix this.

Re: Controller problems
Sounds like you either have the wrong controller or you have a bad ITS. Did it do this BEFORE the controller switch?

Re: Controller problems
No it wasn't doing it before. It is a 91 textron ezgo. I wasn't climbing hill worth a darn though. It climbs hills great at part throttle now. Someone told me to check the ohms of the throttle. I don't know where to do that at.

Re: Controller problems
Stock is 0-5k on ezgo resistor throttle carts. The 400 amp controller you have is the wrong one. No, there is no setting to change this.
Club car use 5k-0 ohm which is the controller you have. |

Re: Controller problems
The two wires coming from the potentiometer to the controller are what you want to check. Look at the top of your controller. Their should be two wires bundled together that go to terminal #2 and #3. Pull those off and attach your ohm meter. With the key switch off... press down on the accelerator pedal. You should see an initial reading of 0 ohms and at full pedal see a reading of 5000 ohms.
