Shock absorbers do just what the name implies. They control and dampen the rebound of the suspension travel. They support NO weight.

But if you extend them and weld the piston in that position, they WILL give you some lift, but man, will that ride be rough!

Could someone post a picture of what a stock leaf spring should look like mounted. I want to do a visual before getting a new set. I dont know if its the springs or the frame, beacuse it was pretty rusted when I bought it. I tried to get it back to stock specs but I may have goofed. Thanks
