In the original post he stated that they changed the solenoid and micro switches. I guess one of them could be bad even if new. Then again they could of put some of the wires on one backwards or on the wrong posts.

i had put a new soleniod on and they stated that it was no good, so they had put a new one on at the shop so.. does anyone have a wiring diagram of the wires to the soleniod and and possibly the starters wires of negatives and positives

NOpe! 1992 was the first year for the OHV engine so a different starter too....

hey since im a truck mechanic for a major non union fright company, does that mean im a cart mechanic too? a friend of mine asked me to look at his yamaha golf cart. what should i do? it runs and drives and has headlights ands tail lights. i told him i didnt see a problem with it other then needeing a bath! if it looks good, smells good, leave it alone!

check ground wire from s/g to frame. it wont do any thing with out it

I had no luck with it, i cleaned and checked the ground cable, i noticed there was a yellow wire coming from the starter to the bottom part of the engine that looked in bad shape, I cleaned it up and tried to make connection to the engine and stepped on the pedal and didnt get nothing out of it. the wires to the key switch seemed to be all good.
Also i took my test light to the starter, i had the clamp on positive put the light on the each of the three points (Didn't try the one under the starter) and the lit the bulb but one made it shine half bright? |
