Re: after lifting carryall2
You don't have to...
But I did for two reasons: 1) My snubber kept slipping off 2) I wanted the engine pan "somewhat" level... do to my engine is running at higher RPM's then stock, and I wanted to make sure that it gets the oil circulation it needs while running hard and fast! If you decide not to lower the front of the engine pan, make sure that the next time you change the oil, put in the recomended amount of oil, (38 oz. with filter change) and mark your dipstick at that level! If you fill it to the full mark, it'll start to smoke... and you don't want that! |

Re: after lifting carryall2
I can never find it when this question comes up but there is a great picture of one that was lower very easily with a piece of right angle plate.
Snubber was moved under the original position and the plate was bolted to the back of the original position with the lip under the new snubber position. |

Re: after lifting carryall2
Well I worked about 2hours on the cart tonight and I lowered the front of the engine 3" and that is about where it was when stock. Then I loosend the black box that is in the way of the airintake and drilled a hole in the frame lower so the air inlet will go back on.One side of the frame had a big hole in it where the wires go through and I drilled a hole in a metal plate and put it over the hole.I also had to cut 11/2 off of the bracket that holds the black box on so it would be in the same place front to back so the throttle cable will work.I will post picture Sunday. My cart is 2004 carryall turf2.

Hey lockman did you do anything to your cart when you lowered the front of the engine besides adding the plate to lower it?

I did pick up a Briggs & Stratton angled carb air intake tube, but haven't put it on yet! http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/gas-c...ubcar-gas.html Oh... I had to tie back my brake cable to keep it from rubbing on the drive clutch, then readjusted my brakes. (I had brake cable brackets modified to fix that also!) http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/lifte...-brackets.html Otherwise, it was a peice of cake! |
