Once I read your post again I would said that I had DCS. I'll check it again today but I think that it still moved forward even with the reverse microswitch unplugged and the indicator was in reverse. My brother has one that works fine so I am going to do some checks on his also today.

If that is the problem to the way to make it reverse would be to jump the two wires going into the micro switch.. The reverse buzzer should not work either if that is the issue.

The reverse buzzer is unplugged it buzz all the time. The check both micro switches today and they are good. Is that some kind of controller or computer that the wires from the f/r switch goes to?

Are there contacts inside the cam operated F/R switch? The more I read from this forum it sounds like the microswitch and F/R switch are two different switches.

If it was working fine before and you haven't made any changes to the wiring I would start with the F/R rocker switch. |

Good points here, BUT a DCS controller DOES know if it is forward or reverse. There are many things that could be wrong, i.e. micro switches, but the controller CAN have an effect on forward or reverse. I have even had troubles with NEW controllers only working in a single direction in our shop. Your best fix is to take it somewhere that has experience with them if the information posted here doesn't assist you...

Well the microswitches are fine. I have something else wrong. Probably the controller that you'all have been talking about. How do you check it?

People read into things in different ways. Anyone who owns a sparky needs to own a Volt/Ohm meter. Extremely helpful in diagnosing problems. |
