Hey there. New to the forum and just bought my first cart. I purchased a 1996 Club Car DS. Old Trojan batteries were cracked and leaking, so I went and purchased 6 Duracell 8v batteries and installed. New and unused, I charged them for about 7 hrs (figured they may need topping off and tended before first full use- relying on the "smart charger to do what was necessary). It was then that this member's exact scenario started, BUT my charger was still working. I saw your great input and wanted to let you know that I found the grey wire and it looked as though the boot around it was gooey, but I could not yank it out with a slight tug. My orange light on the charger showed a "continuous charge" but the orange indicator light on the cart was blinking the same sequence.
Okay, so your advice for them was to get a new OBC, but if i read correctly, not install for their issue, just keep on hand since the neighbors cart/charger solution miraculously fixed it?
What do you think I should do in my situation. It seems to still be charging and I really don't want to put another dime in this thing. I got it for $350 and $600 batteries later I have this.

this was going on with my 02 DS, got to looking and found a wire loose on the back side of the charging receptacle , it wouldn't let the charger come on, thats what caused the amber charge light to blink, i was seeing all the OBC stuff, glad i started with the simplest things first
