Now I'm not expert, but I'm pretty sure this is wrong.
After being pointed in the direction of my speed sensor being the problem on why my cart jerks to a halt when slowing down, this is what I discovered... Any thoughts?

Possibly a bad motor bearing allowing the shaft to wobble around. I can't think of anything else that would break up the magnet like that.

I have seen them crack, and eventually break. That one looks like its off the hitachi motor? They are a little pricey for just being a magnet with a specific number of poles.

Cheers guys,
Can't tell if it's a hitachi motor, can't find any hitachi markings on it, I figured it'd be a pricey little part, (the little ones always are!!!) Anyway I'm very new to electronic carts so I appreciate the help, now all I've gotta do is track one down, being down here in Aus makes it difficult. Thanks again. |

If you have all of the bits, you can try to fit the puzzle back together and glue it with epoxy. It's just a multi pole magnet.

Now i know this is flirting with the competetion (and def not a site sponsor), but your magnet looks very similar to a Nivel part number 3299, magnet for "advanced dc motor", not "hitachi". $41usd

That's the one, it's got an "advanced dc motor" sticker on it.... You suggest just googleing that?

Cheers mate, the picture of the link you told me doesn't look right but I'll keep shopping round, it looked more like it had a bearing inside rather that teeth.
