melex 412 interchangeable

I have a melex 412 that needs a brake drum/hub unfortunately they don't make this part anymore. The 412 has a keyed axle shaft smooth no splines. I am seeing you can still buy the brake drum/hub that is splined for some melex carts. Can I switch out the rear axle with a newer model axle that is splined? Maybe a 512 model or ezgo and does anyone know what axle would work 4 the swap? The 412 is electric and it's the passenger rear

CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to BGW. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands, girlfirends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.
