Try entering the carts serial number on the EZGO lookup site: http://www.shopezgo.com/customer-ser...ialNumber.html

That should tell you the year, model and drive type.

According to the serial number, it a 2000 Gas TXT.

Make: TXT

Type: Gas

Model: TXT Standard

Year: 2000

Maybe somebody converted a Gasser to a Sparky????

That's what I'm guessing. Thus most of my confusion.

Johnnie - I think this is another 2000 PDS cart with the cross-over system.

I think you are right Scotty. The EZGO serial number look-up is "Iffy" to say the least.

Yeah - I give up on it - half the time it's wrong... if the F&R ms are bad here he can replace them ($30 ea) or convert to PDS rocker .

For now the ms are fine and the switch is working but what would be involved in converting to the PDS rocker? I'll be switching over to an alltrax in a few weeks.

BTW, thanks for the help to you and Johnnie!

Diagram for conversion posted on the previous page - I think it may be Johnnie's work?

FWIW, I traced the wires back from the J1 plug to the "hockey puck" FNR switch.

pin1 ORN/RED - traces back to where ms and is combination of each side of the ms (fwd/rev) on the "puck" board (tied together)
pin2 ORN - traces back to one of the ms (rev)
pin3 GRN - traces back to one of the ms (fwd)

So my assumption, please correct me if I'm wrong. If I really wanted to, I'd just need to run new wires to the front of the cart and connect them to a new rocker switch. (again assuming, its a straight connection with no other ms).

And of course, I know what they say about assuming!!!! hence the question/confirmation.
