Default Disc brake install

I am putting a set of rear hydraulic disc brakes on an 01 DS. Figured I would post some pics for anyone interested in seeing it

2001 DS
Alltrax SPM 48400 (thanks scottyb! www.cartsunlimited.net)
400a solenoid (thanks scottyb! www.cartsunlimited.net)
GE D380 motor
4ga cables all around
Crown CR165 batteries

That's where this build is at for now. Ill send the body off to get painted then put everything else on. Brakes are installed and hoses ran. I'm waiting for the master cylinder to arrive then I will get it mounted up. I will set a body and seat on to do some test runs to make sure everything is working ok

Will the rims fit over the brakes, or does it require special rims.
I'd bet they will feel like power brakes.

Should fit over 10" wheels. Obviously not the stock 8"

Remember not all 10 wheels have the same dimensions. Offset plays a big part in disc brake clearance too.

Yes this is correct. I will measure but I think these are about the same OD as the Ausco Ameri-torque mechanical kits.

I find it funny that the title of your post is disk brake install, then you go on about the specs on the cart and were you got the electronics but never mention what BRAKE KIT you have and where you got it from. (sorry that was run on sentence)

I'm just busting your chops..... The cart sounds like it will be fast and stop on a dime! Nice work and thanks for posting up the pics.. Now tell me where I can pick up set
