Ha, yes the snow was fun for us but the ice a few days later sucked. We had over 1" ice on the roads in Marksville.

Speaking of the Cree lights, I wonder what's the comparison like of those vs Hid's on the cart. I have xenon 6k hid lights and love them now, only paid 30$ also. If they happen to give me probs then this looks like a good alternative.

Here was my post about the hid kit.

When I install mine I'm expecting HID type results without the install headache. I'll post pictures this weekend.

The replacement CREE only produces 30 Watts not 36 like the stock lamps, without a LUX meter I can't tell the difference other than the Cree is white and easier on the eyes at night. As far as the fixture it is the same so I suspect your HIDs produce more light, to what extent not sure, Does it make enough difference to go one way or the other, probably not. LEDs will probably out last the HIDs and they come with a socket that is the same the light came with so no modifications as with the straight end connectors. The only reason why I changed the lamps is because I added Cree driving lights 6K which are white and the light bar was the incandescent look yellowish. I won't be able to really test it out until I take it to the camp and go into total darkens but without a doubt it will be plenty of light for dark woods, The total package is using 8 amps. I need to separate the driving lights to a switch as I don't need them on all of the time but for now this was what I had at home to deal with and the wiring was in place. I used the pre-wired amber signal wires to run the driving lights. I'm using less wattage than stock using the led.s & in effect getting more light. Louisiana can't make carts street legal so it was a no brainier to use that wiring harness.

Well, is it worth upgrading from the stock lights in your opinion?
