16 Month old Trojan T-890s SHOT
I bought a brand new set of Trojan T-890s back in May of '13, did the break in period to a T, checked and filled water levels as needed every other week, plugged the cart in when I was done with it, and never let it sit without charging overnight (if used). It was in a heated garage last winter and I plugged the charger in every couple weeks to keep the charge up. I cant even get 27 holes of golf out of them or about 6 miles....
This blows...over $1000 spent and I got 16 months out of them and every dealer I talk to including the one I bought the **** things from tell me that there isn't anything they can do since Trojan warranty is 12 months. |

. . . you may be dealing with one bad cell in one battery . . . load test batteries and check SG in each cell . . may only need to replace one battery . . .

Re: 16 Month old Trojan T-890s SHOT
I just talked with a buddy of mine that works at Batteries Plus and I'm going to drop them off with him so he can test them out and I'll see what he comes up with. Man I hope it's just one battery.
He mentioned something about a boost charge or a recondition charge. That isn't something I want him to do to any of these batteries is it? |

YES! have run a boost and equalization charge on all the batteries then ask him to let them sit 48 hours and check voltage and state of charge with a temperature compensating device or refractometer.
