Default Mounting location for fuse box/voltage reducer

I have a 92 G8 and the only logical place I can see to mount my reducer and my fuse block is to the bottom of the seat. No place else gives good access and enough mounting space. Any reason I shouldn’t do it this way?

I have a G29. If you have space around/behind your batteries this is what I have done. Mounted a metal plate to the frame (passenger rear) with self tapping screws. Bolted the reducer to the plate. I decided to put the fuse box in the front under the dash. Most of the accessories that have or will have will be located in that area. I figure it is much easier to run one line from reducer (battery compartment) to the fuse box (front) rather than having to run a line for each accessory.
