slow uphill
i just purchased a 2000 48v club car yesterday. i have a couple questions. the guy whom i bought the cart from said that the charger would not shut off automatically you had to shut it off manually. it is one that will shut off automatically but something is broken internally.
so the info i found out so far is that it may not shut off if the batteries dont get fully charged. which i think is a possibillity. are there any other possiblilities. the other question i have which is kinda one of the reasons i think the batteries are not getting fully charged is when going uphill the cart rides very slow. not even a very steep hill at all. but when going flat or downhill picks up speed and does well. any thoughts does this sound like batteries. or not even sure if this could be a cause could it be a controller problem? thanks in advance for any advice. new to the forum and looking to do severally upgrades |

Re: slow uphill
Welcome grover. All symptoms point to weak or faulty batteries. If you do not have one, get a digital volt meter. Post readings from all 6 batteries. like 5.83 or 6.23
