Re: InfiniteReality's '99 Lowered EZGO TXT Build
Still tinkering... Like everyone knows, it never ends. Yesterday decided to make some satin black overlays for the EZGO emblems I made for inset area of rockers. I thought the orange was a little too much. Also made an overlay in body color vinyl for the EZGO logo on the roof.
While doing the roof overlay I had an idea since that's the ideal area for a 3rd brake light. My plan is to cut a 8x2 rectangle out at location and this will slide in and wire up to the street legal lighting. The red part will be 1/4" HDPE to disperse light (hopefully) evenly. I still have to model an enclosure for the LED strips so no light can escape, but have to wait for them to come in so can accurately measure for it. Last, but not least... Skinning the panel I made for the air suspension in real 2x2 twill carbon fiber. In all honesty, no one will even notice but I'll know. |

Re: InfiniteReality's '99 Lowered EZGO TXT Build
Custom cart.....custom key.
Finally got around to getting my key base printed. Came in today so promptly trimmed the key and couple knocks if the rubber mallet and done. Also had a couple others resin printed. Shows alot more detail, but also have to be painted so unsure how it'll wear. I'll use the round one with the 2nd key and see how it holds up. |

Re: InfiniteReality's '99 Lowered EZGO TXT Build
Decided to skin another panel in carbon, this time forged carbon (using 1/4" chopped carbon). Only did this to see how forged looks in person and gives me options on which panel to use. Which I'm still unsure of, lol.
Also a side by side of both. |

That’s a beautiful cart. Thank you for taking the time post all this as you go.

Daughter likes riding with me so much now that she tells her momma she can't ride so it's just me and her, lol. Kinda feel bad, but wife never takes her on rides. |

Re: InfiniteReality's '99 Lowered EZGO TXT Build
I definitely am and will continue to enjoy it as long as I can (she lets)! We ride a few miles an evening every single day unless it's raining. I wish I'd put an hour meter or was able to log the miles I've put on the cart since it was finished. No doubt have easily put 100 miles on the cart over past couple of months. Before I inherited the cart, my daughter and I rode an older 4wheeler (coincidently same year as the cart, '99) around neighborhood before she could walk. We still do, she'll ask to ride it once a week or so and always after we get off the cart. I never have turned her down.
I always recommend to friends that have kids around my daughter's age that they should invest in a cart or some sort of motorized buggy ASAP. By far best way to spend time with them, keep them occupied AND in one location! :) |

Re: InfiniteReality's '99 Lowered EZGO TXT Build
Haven't done anything to my cart in a while other than putting more and more miles on it with my daughter. Still riding 5-8 miles almost daily.
Been practicing skinning stuff in carbon alot lately, especially forged carbon. I think I may start skinning miscellaneous parts of the golf cart in carbon, like headlight and taillights bezels. Not sure if I'll use regular 2x2 twill carbon or forged carbon We have a VFW more/less in our neighborhood we ride through when riding around. Never thought of snapping a pic using the gun in the front ad a background, till now. |

Re: InfiniteReality's '99 Lowered EZGO TXT Build
Went to throw this away last weekend and decided to keep it and skin it in real carbon fiber. Has potential, will see how it looks after a few coats of epoxy

Re: InfiniteReality's '99 Lowered EZGO TXT Build
Literally dug this out of the big trash can a day after I threw it (and other old cart stuff) out. Painted black and skinned in 2x2 twill carbon fiber..
Made an overlay decal but while test fitting I didn't dig it |
